The nepali community in France and 11 franco-nepalese associations supported by the Nepali embassy are organizing a memorial gathering of support and solidarity for the 12 nepali hostages assassinated in Iraq on the 31st of august and their families.

In face of the atrocity of these cruel acts committed by groups close to Al Qaeda and the Islamic Army in Iraq towards 12 nepali citizens unmasked and then savagely assassinated, we, the Nepalis living in France, have decided to express our support to our people and their families in this insupportable time.
Twelve Nepalese assassinated
Our country of 23 million citizens is in mourning. Twelve men under the age of 25 were sent by special recruitment agencies to work abroad in Jordan. They found themselves in Iraq. Today they are dead.
